PerPendulum
2024

PerPendulum is a kinetic installation that epitomizes the principles of thermodynamics, transforming matter into motion. This  mechanism relies on the memory properties of NiTiNol and the simple elegance of a pendulum driven by two small oil lamps.

The installation creates a continuous cycle of motion, driven by the transformation of
matter >  heat  >  motion.
As long as there is fuel to sustain the flame, PerPendulum will remain in perpetual motion.

Flowing States
2022

Flowing States is a kinetic installation that explores the dynamic transition of matter between solid and liquid states.
Using paraffin, a material with a low melting point, the artwork demonstrates the fluidity and impermanence of physical forms.

The piece emphasizes how the wax can take an infinite variety of solid forms, never settling into the same shape twice. When melted, it returns to a fluid base state, ready to solidify once more in a unique configuration.
